After reading this Expanded Star Wars Universe book I realized that I greatly prefer books that do not involve any characters from the films because then I'm not comparing their actions to those in the movies. This book is about a Jedi's quest to explore his past and takes place thousands of years before the movies. It has the usual light saber and Force battles and is well-written. Much of the action takes place on the Sith homeworld and the author does a great job of explaining some of the key differences between the light and dark side.
This book is based on The Old Republic video game from Bio Ware, but it was a good story nonetheless.
I highly recommend this book and I will definitely read his others.
