This book is another I grabbed at the library. Feist has written a lot of books so I figured, if I liked his work, I'd have another 15-20 books to polish off. This book was alright, but was a bit ponderous and assumed a lot of background knowledge that I do not possess. I suppose I should start reading Feist's Riftwar books from the beginning, but I may intersperse them with other series since he's more of a volume writer with some formulaic plot points. His description of magic is unsuitably vague and violates Sanderson's first law of magic.
I recommend this book only if you've read all the others.
