Curious

A repairman from Marco TV was just out to check out my Sony SXRD. He said that my problem is not the green blob problem so he can't authorize an optical block replacement. He said that it's normal to see green and purple concentric circles centered around the middle of the screen. I call bullshit because I've had the TV for 2.5 years now and have never seen this until last weekend. I notice the green and purple when watching stuff, but it's not terrible so I guess I'll just have to put up with it and mourn the loss of my $108 that went towards the guy saying there is nothing wrong.

I'll check the AVS Forums in the meantime...I'm turning up jackshit. Maybe the lamp is going bad. It should be close to time to replace it.
