Project 365: Day 120

Yesterday I was in a food making mood. It started with homemade egg pasta:

The pasta was used to make smoked salmon pasta which is one of my favorite dishes of all time:

Dessert was homemade banana bread:

I bought a range yesterday at Sears because I can't cook everything in my toaster oven. They'll deliver it on Thursday so I think I'm good to go for making pizza this weekend.

Life is good when you have good food.

How easy is it to make pasta? I was thinking of getting a machine at some stage. Do you think the drying rack is pretty essential?

Pasta is simple to make. I used my food processor to mix up the flour and eggs, but you could easily do it by hand. It's just a little messier and takes a bit longer.

The drying rack is probably not essential since it was never mentioned in my pasta cookbook. I think the idea is you make the pasta fresh and use it the same day so why would you want to dry it? Of course, the drying rack is the cheapest part of the process.

You are such a master chef! I also made pasta, but didn't take pictures for my blog. I will have to try it again sometimes. It's pretty easy, but it takes some times, and quite a few dirty dishes.

Master chef is certainly an exaggeration. Pasta is pretty easy to make and tastes better than the stuff from the store.
