Yesterday I went hiking up Hunter Mountain with people from the Hiking Mates of Meetup.com. The weather was pretty good in Albany, but not great in the Catskills. There was a miscommunication so half of us went up one face and the other half went up another.
I went up the steep face. We gained roughly 2500 ft of elevation in just a couple of miles. That may not sound like much, but is roughly equivalent to hiking up stairs for two miles. It was definitely a good workout, but the top was too cloudy to see anything.
