I tried out a new recipe tonight so I made a small amount of progress towards task 37 - 100 new recipes. I cooked a lamb leg with some vegetables in my crockpot with inspiration from this recipe. I mixed up some herbed butter to spread on the lamb, but the flavor didn't sink in. The lamb was tender, but not overly flavorful. I don't blame the recipe. Next time, I would add the herbs directly to the pot.

You could also try slicing the lamb a little bit and putting some herbs/garlic in the slits and cooking it that way. Then again, I've never had much luck cooking roast type dishes in the crock. I always get it a bit watery.
Yeah, crammin' the herbs into the meat is probably more effective.
