Exercising is good for you, but it does not necessarily lead to weight loss because it jump starts your metabolism which means you get hungry. If you feed your hunger with, let's say, 12oz of bacon and five cookies like I did this morning, you'll probably undo a lot of your hard work.
The real key is to lock down your diet and to cut out artificial stuff and sugar which is easier said than done for those of us with a sweet tooth.
